Chris Reondo Profile

About Chris Redondo

Chris Redondo started his journey as a first year apprentice in 2000 at the age of 16 at a large engineering company called BROENS Engineering that was located in Ingleburn South West Sydney.

Employing over 150 people at its peak Chris honed his engineering skills by means of a toolmaking apprenticeship and also working on a vast array of jobs from industries such as aerospace, marine and agriculture.

From this exposure to large engineering projects his curiosity was tickled by how these large objects become a moving part – of course the answer was hydraulics. After finishing his TAFE studies and obtaining cert 4 in Engineering/ Toolmaking Chris kept open his learning and enrolled and completed his Cert 4 in Fluid Power (Hydraulics). Not being one to sit and wonder Chris gratefully said goodbye to BROENS after completion of his studies and purchased his first business; a franchised hose business (Competitor to RYCO) located in South West Sydney. From zero customers the business quickly grew and he became the top earning hose truck in the Sydney metro area within 4 years.

Chris loved the business side of hydraulics and decided to move away from the company he started and establish a rival franchised business in south west Sydney to see if he could implement his own ideas and strategies and to see if they would work. Purchasing a new truck in 2010 and starting an independent franchise with RYCO 24/7 in the South

West Sydney region Chris established a mobile hose service and based himself out of his parent’s garage. Within 6 months he outgrew the garage and a 300m3 industrial unit in Ingleburn was found bringing with it his first team member who added another service, that being counter sales while Chris fulfilled the mobile service and workshop repairs.

Chris’ reputation for his reliability and knowledge in and around hydraulics preceded him and he grew his team to 3

mobile service trucks within 12 months.

In 2016 RYCO 24/7 Ingleburn won the Small business of the year and the overall business of the year out of 150 finalists in the Local Business awards Campbelltown region.

Chris wanted to add a difference to the stock standard hose business that continues pretty much unchanged since the 1980’s to today. Chris is doing this by bringing the focus of the growth of the business around the needs of its clients and ultimately the people it serves.

It’s now 2021 and with the turnover of the business now in the millions Chris has built a solid foundation for the company

to support the growth and continues to implement the right mix of people, education, equipment, and systems for the continued expansion of products and services to its key clients and key industries.
